On ne les voit jamais

(We never see them)

2010, (11 min.)

Wandering within the different religious sites in Saint Flour, France, the camera focuses on their various occupants (statues, paintings, objects or nuns) and follows some religious activities. Along this careful visual discovery, we hear the voices of the nuns and the sound of their practices, combined with subtle exterior sounds and short comments, made by the inhabitants of the town about these mysterious persons.

The film uses the mental and visual associations that all those elements evoke in us to picture a state of mind, a kind of life and explores the relation existing between a rather closed and inner community with the rest of the people, in the outside world.
